The Frunka Handshake

By using our website or ordering via WhatsApp, you agree to these terms. We’ve kept them as simple as possible because we believe in neighborhood trust.

Ordering & Pricing

Price Guarantee: You will always pay the price shown at the time of your order, as reflected in your order confirmation.

Weights & Measures: Some of our products (like fresh produce) vary in weight. While we aim for precision, the final quantity you receive may differ slightly from the listing—just like at the market!

Minimum Order: Our current minimum order is €15, though we reserve the right to adjust this in the future. If a return at the doorstep brings your total below this minimum, we will still honor the delivery, but we reserve the right to review future service for accounts that repeatedly fall below the minimum.

Promotions: Promotional prices and special offers are only valid if the item is still on promotion at the time of checkout. All offers are “While Supplies Last”; if we run out of a promotional item before you check out, the discount no longer applies.

Discount Coupons: You can use a maximum of one discount code per delivery.

Trial Pricing: We occasionally run random price tests to ensure we are offering the best value. During these tests, a small group of customers may see a temporary trial price. These results help us set fair, consistent pricing for everyone in the long run.

Payment

Cashless Service: To keep our neighborhood routes fast and safe, we take payment via our Website or WhatsApp (using Revolut) at the time of ordering. No cash or card is accepted at the door unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Cancellations & Refunds

Notice Period: Life happens! You can cancel your order for a full refund as long as you let us know by 10:00 PM the day before your scheduled delivery.

Refunds: We will process your refund to your original payment method within 14 days.

Delivery & Your Route Slot

The Handover: Since we operate on a scheduled route, being home for your slot is important.

If You Aren’t Home:

We can leave the items in a safe place (like your porch) as instructed by you. We will take a photo as proof of delivery, after which the safety of the goods is your responsibility.

If no safe place is available, we will take the items back and contact you to reschedule.

The “Missed Slot” Fee: While we don’t charge for the first redelivery attempt, if a new time cannot be agreed upon and the order is cancelled, a €5 processing fee will be deducted from your refund to cover our logistics costs.

Scheduling: We deliver Monday through Saturday (and Sundays in select areas!). You can see the available slots for your neighborhood in your shopping cart.

Timing: We do our very best to arrive exactly when you expect us. However, traffic or weather can get in the way. We cannot strictly guarantee delivery times and are not liable for late arrivals.

Returns & The "Inspect Like a Store" Rule

At the Doorstep: You are encouraged to inspect your goods upon delivery.

Opened Goods: For hygiene and safety, we cannot accept returns on food items (like Atta, Rice, or Spices) if the packaging has been opened or tampered with.

Fresh Produce: Due to their limited shelf life, we cannot accept returns on fresh produce. This includes meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, frozen products, dairy, and cheese.

Handling: In line with Irish Consumer Law, you may handle and inspect products just as you would in a physical supermarket. If the product or packaging is damaged beyond what is necessary to inspect it, we may decline the return.

The Mobile Store events: From time to time, we offer a “Mobile Showroom” experience for visibility. This is a complimentary service and does not change your statutory rights.

Legal Things

Product Defects: We source high-quality products from trusted suppliers. However, Frunka is a reseller, not a manufacturer. Any defects in the product itself (quality, ingredients, or packaging errors from the source) are the responsibility of the manufacturer. We will, of course, assist you in getting a refund or replacement if you discover a manufacturer defect.

Safety & Recalls: In the event of a product recall by a manufacturer or food safety authority, we will contact all affected customers immediately via WhatsApp or email with instructions on what to do with the product and how to receive your refund. Our

Responsibility: To the extent permitted by Irish law, Frunka’s liability is limited to the total value of your order. We are not liable for any indirect losses (like the cost of ordering an emergency takeaway because your delivery was delayed).

Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If we have a disagreement that we can’t solve over a friendly WhatsApp message, the Irish Courts will have the final say.
